About the Practice

Cape Cognition is a neuropsychology and speech therapy practice in Cape Town specialising in cognitive testing across clinical, educational, and medicolegal contexts. The practice focuses on providing structured evaluation of cognitive, psychological, and communication functioning, with reporting designed for clarity, accuracy, and practical application.  Where appropriate, information is integrated across neuropsychological, psychological, and speech-language domains to provide a comprehensive formulation.

​Jessica Sher is the practice lead at Cape Cognition and is responsible for coordination of services within the practice, including speech-language assessment across clinical and medicolegal contexts.  Her work focuses on language, communication, and cognitive-linguistic functioning across developmental and acquired conditions, including neurodevelopmental profiles such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Where ongoing intervention is indicated, Speech Therapy is provided separately through her independent practice. Daniel Sher

Clinical Psychologist (special interest in Neuropsychology)

Daniel Sher is responsible for neuropsychological assessment across clinical, educational, and medicolegal contexts.  He conducts medicolegal psychological and neuropsychological assessments, including evaluation of cognitive functioning, functional capacity, and reporting for legal proceedings. 

Cape Cognition works with attorneys, medical professionals, schools, and private individuals requiring structured assessment and clear, evidence-based reporting.
